Welcome to the Online Databases page which provides links to both subscription-based and free database research tools. These databases will provide you the opportunity to research and locate information, much of which can ultimately be printed out in full-text at the desktop.

For those of you looking for UpToDate, it presently is available only on computers in both the Murray Memorial Library and the Stanley K. Davis Library.
A service with FREE ACCESS from the National Library of Medicine (NLM). To date, it includes over 20 million citations for biomedical literature dating back to 1948. The citations are from MEDLINE and other life sciences journals. PubMed also includes links to many publisher sites providing full text articles and other related resources.
If unfamiliar with PubMed, choose from these PubMed Quick Tours with each one taking three minutes or less.

In the Abstract display format from the drop-down menu, the Samaritan Health Services logo and/or Print Holdings icon may appear. If so, this alerts you to immediate full text online or the print availability of the journal article through our libraries.

Natural Standard is an integrative medicine product. Consisting of 12 databases, the information created uses the expertise of a multidisciplinary Editorial Board is evidence-based, consensus-based, and peer-reviewed.

This is another of the many Gale databases we provide. It is a multi-source database providing access to full-text of nursing and allied health journals, plus a wide variety of personal health information sources that offer reliable health information to researchers, including nursing and allied health students.

Nursing and allied health professionals will find millions of articles found in over 1,100 journals. In this database you'll find many of the titles cited in CINAHL. This as with many of the Gale databases provides full-text coverage of many journals.

An osteopathic medicine digital library that builds upon OSTMED, a bibliographic index to the literature of osteopathic medicine. It provides access to all content within the repository. Fully searchable, it currently contains journals and articles, but continues to add information including historical documents, books, core journals, selective journals, video, and images.
