Online Journals

This collection of medical, nursing, and administrative journals has been made possible through the cooperative efforts of the medical libraries and hospitals of Samaritan Health Services.

Here is the most complete listing of Journals Currently Held/Received of print holdings in our libraries.

Verifying or finding a Specific Article is easy to do by using the PubMed Single Citation Matcher. Once you retrieve the item, look for the Samaritan Health Services logo. Click on this logo, and it will take you to the appropriate database to download or view the full text.

Access to many of these journals are protected by a username and password. If you find that one is needed for the journal you want to access, call library staff.

Go directly to the MDConsult Clinics and Journals.

When you see MDConsult, Ovid, ScienceDirect, or STAT!-Ref after a journal title, it will require a username and password for offsite access. You can easily obtain one by contacting library staff.

With limited access to any online subscription resource it is very important that you Remember To Logoff from it when you have finished so others may use it!


When performing a literature search in PubMed, you want to know what is available in the collection of the Murray Memorial Library or the Stanley K. Davis Library. In the Display Formats: Abstract / AbstractPlus / Citation look for the Samaritan Health Services logo and/or Print Holdings icon alerting you to full text online or the print copy availability of the journal.

If after reviewing our holdings here you still cannot access the particular title and/or issue, you may REQUEST that the library order it for you!
